angels

I spent some time over the weekend working on these lil angels. Some friends know I was in quite a foul mood but thankfully, that has since passed. Making these lil angels has been somewhat therapeutic. Repeating the motions and watching them slowly take shape. Plus their sparkle! Pretty!

Makes me wonder how the real angels up in heaven are like.

We’ve been working on our nursery rhymes these few days and this pair just seemed to fit the bill. An antique gold plated pewter charm is accented by a single Swarovski briolette drop. Simple, effective and brilliantly hued.

bag a wine charm

I spent Sunday afternoon holed up in the workroom finishing up the design for a set of bag charms that had been ordered. I had fun working on them, exploring my boxes (yes, BOXES!) of beads along the way. I haven’t quite been doing wine charms for the longest time, but it is something I can do.

Yes : I am having bandwidth issues.

Yes : I am still working on orders, customs and ‘items in inventory’.

No : I have not disappeared into some blackhole.

Pardon the somewhat ‘broken’ blog. I am working on it. However, balancing editing urls and making sure orders get sent out, I rather focus on the latter. So… I have done a stop gap measure to ensure that the urls for the pictures appearing on the MAIN page are working and am, not bothering about the rest for the moment.

The good thing is, the bandwidth is going to be reset next month so erhmm, bear with me. Yes, it is an eyesore but … I’ve only got 24 hours in a day!

Well, I thought the sudden bright, hot and sunny spell was going to last longer but apparently not. I woke to heavy rain splashing off the top of my aircon unit. So I guess we are back to ‘black’ again.

Continuing the ‘wedding theme’ I’ve stumbled into for the week, is this gorgeous necklace. I think it is perfect for a simple elegant wedding. Imagine it paired with a bustier dress. Dreamy and soft yet calm and collected. Pretty!

Made completely with 925 silver findings, aquamarine rondelles and Swarovski crystals (for that extra sparkle), this feels like a dream necklace to wear on a bride. Of course, she can be worn by others too. Just pair her up correctly with a cream or off-white dress and you’d be good to go.

I managed to clear my worktable to create enough space to begin working on my custom orders. I worked through a few ‘nagging’ design thoughts before I had to take a break to rest my eyes.

Charmed with Bears

I haven't quite been doing bracelets for a bit but when I saw this chain sitting innocently in the supply store, I *knew* that a small collection of bracelets would be on the cards. So here is the first in the series. A antique gold plated pewter charm of a charming bear carrying a single flower sits right smack in the middle of the chain. The bracelet closes with a heart shaped toggle clasp for added whimsical charm.

And... it matches this pair of earrings PERFECTLY. Great if you are one of those whose accessories 'die die must match' sort of person.

So the weather has been kind of wet here in Singapore. Almost like clockwork, the skies open up at mid-afternoon for a REALLY heavy downpour. The best thing that comes from rain like that, is the wonderful sightings of rainbows about town. And boy have there been many!

So instead of lamenting about the weather, here’s 2 items that pay special tribute to the grey skies. And you got to admit, they are rather nice (if I say so myself!). And nope, they do not have to be worn on gloomy rainy days.

Patrick "revisited"

It was a pleasant surprise to discover “Patrick” in my RSS reader yesterday morning. You may remember Patrick from the customisation order that JY had requested in December for her friends and herself. This time the group of close-knit friends came together for a photoshoot by Joan. And Patrick made a guest appearance.

I love how Joan managed to capture the friendship amongst this group of firm friends. And I think so will you! She has such a knack for capturing special moments.

We’d be back tomorrow! We kind of took a break and… stopped to smell the roses, jump in puddles, gaze at rainbows and spend precious time with family. It was somewhat unintended but really, it felt good.

lilac / purple craze

I’m feeling a little under the weather today so respnse time might be a tad slow. I’ve tried ‘bead therapy’ but my head’s feeling too heavy to design right now.

I did however, manage to break into my bead stash and do this flirty lilac pair over the weekend. Made from complementary shades of purple (from a rainbow fluorite strand), this pair has a lovely lilac hue about it. Limited pairs available because there aren’t that many of these hues in the strand. Leave me a comment or drop me an email to reserve a pair today.
