As for now, I had a long week … I’m off to bed (it is 2.32am, insane I know!) and will be back to settle admin stuff when the rest of Singapore is awake. I must admit, I am kind of glad it is Friday already! (Although it is scary to think that February ends tomorrow…)
Been busy with a few custom orders these few days. Amongst them is this lovely bag charm. A couple of colleagues requested for something that they could gift another colleague who had recently lost her grandma. A really nice gesture..! A flurry of emails later, this resulted.

If you are in Singapore, you’d notice that the weather starts out nice and sunny in the morning and POURS by early afternoon. I mean really pour. It kind of puts a dampener on my spirits. I like rain but this heavy a downpour is too much, too fast.
So I dug into my bead box and tried out this simple combination. It reminds me of warm summery days… when the flowers are in full bloom, all bright and cheerful.

Handmade polymer clay lentils topped with carved shell flowers. All made with gold plated findings. A lovely swirl of colours.
I’ve named her! 
And loaded her in store. She’s on sale for a limited time period. And once gone, always gone. I’m out of the pearls. And shell flowers. Both are pretty expensive materials but I would say, she’s such a beauty that it’d be worth it.

Have been busy admiring the stash of beads I have just gotten my hands on. I love them so. Really pretty, delicate and oh so yummy. I’ve started using them already. Inbetween packing orders and answering emails that is (all paid for orders ship today!). It has been quite a month. A number of lovely treasured items have gone out of stock.
I sent them off with a tearful heart. Because I really love them. And I know there is no chance of a remake. But I guess it is for the better. Else pieces like the one featured above would have no room in the workplace. Don’t you love the soft dusty rose pink hues of this pair?!

In the mood for some colour this week. Especially since I cannot get the song I Can Sing A Rainbow out of my head. So here’s a collage of some of the items reflecting the colours in the song. Not quite the ‘official’ rainbow but I kind of like the colours nonetheless.

These butterflies look like they are made of rose quartz… but they are not! Instead these are glass beads in the soft baby pink hues that spell romance (and at a fraction of the cost!). The silver version of Lil Miss Chirpy. I kind of like how she turned out.
Blue Chirpy features the same birdie in matt silver with a lil faceted blue aquamarine rondelle in tow. All silver plated findings used for a lovely chirpy pair. Now available in store!
Still on the topic of birds, here’s the necklace accompaniment for Lil Miss Chirpy. Both are in store right now and waiting to find a new home. Perfect for lil girls or those with a child-like heart. And really, who doesn’t like a chirpy tweet every now and then?
I just added another 3 different vintage necklaces to the lone Vintage Blooms. All 4 are available in store right now. Each piece evokes a different kind of mood and really needs to be savoured over time. In case you were confused, all chains and clasps are new. The cameos themselves are the vintage component.
I must admit I am quite captivated by the idea of vintage right now. There is a certain aura about them that I cannot pinpoint. And well, I guess by the ‘definition’ of before 1980s, I guess I am almost vintage myself. That intrigues me in a weird sort of way. And amongst this selection, I find myself strangely drawn to When Birds Sing. I am not a bird lover but the quietness and serenity of the scene just called out to me.

The store received a (bumper) update over the weekend and the response has been great thus far. I especially love this piece for the simplicity and elegance. The key drop is luscious and oh so gorgeous. Really it would be pretty on your neck or in the jewelry chest. A perfect balance of romance and dreamy elegance.
