Well, this is the BIG thing that I was alluding to in my recent (ok, not so recent) posts. I have gone out to get myself a domain... started out a shop and a proper blog! While many things remain the same, there are changes to go along with it.

Do note that there will be free shipping for all orders over SGD150. Orders below that will be charged at SGD4 flat fee. This will include registered post, bubble lined envelopes, little sachets and the occasional something special.

Something Old...
One of the trademark, key features of Bead Haven is the use of varied materials in a single item to create a feminine look that is at times modern or classic. This range still remains the same. Also to keep it affordable, the findings used are still gold or silver toned.

Something New...
The range, "Something Precious" has been launched to present an opportunity to own semi-precious gemstones set with gold or silver plated findings and materials. Slightly more expensive, this range will last much longer should you afford the proper care for the items. This range tends towards the softer side... and is perfect for bridal days and special occasions.

Something Blue...
The whole site is done up in a sweet blue look. Some of you might recall, the original logo for Bead Haven was a simple font set in blue. I am returning to that classic look yet again. :)

More to come...

1. For the Home :: I am still working on it but you can expect to find little knick knacks to decorate the home with. Things like winecharms will feature here.
2. For the Children :: again another new section planned... this will feature dainty accessories for the young ones... and occasionally, mother-daughter sets
3. Bead Mix :: Sometimes the fun part is in CREATING. Watch for this section, soon to be filled with small easy-to-do projects for wee hands. Great for bonding opportunities.

Porcelain Charm $24

A new release... Porcelain Charm is a dainty oriental pair that features imported porcelain beads topped with gold coloured freshwater pearls and filigree. All findings are gold plated... :) With good care, this pair should last quite a bit.

Sneak Peeks :: Kayley ::

Just a quick sneak as to what is in store… Plastic hearts and alphabets strung on gold plated memory wire and finished with gold plated beads… and a twirl for girly delight.

By the end of the month, we will be ready to launch.

I guess I can start revealing little snippets of information out now...

Sorry for the apparent radio silence over here at Bead Haven. The truth is, I am slowly working on a new site. After 14months at Blogspot, including the many outages and other inconveniences, I have actually gone out to get a domain of my own :)

At the moment, I am working on a new collection to be released there... alongside other specials. I sure hope that they will be as appealing to you as they are to me! The same idea of modern beauty with the feminine touch will continue to be featured in the pieces. Some new highlights would include the launch of a new gemstone range, made with findings that are all silver or gold plated, making your jewelry items even more special.

Caramel Treats $24

I was originally saving this for the end of the month to launch the new collection all at once. But I figured that I might as well post it up for sale now. :)

Caramael Treats features gold plated ribbons from which hang agate donuts. The earhooks are gold plated and should be safe for everyone. Even those with sensitive ears. A nice pair to blend and treasure.

Agate was highly valued as a talisman or amulet in ancient times. It was said to quench thirst and protect against fever. Persian magicians used agate to divert storms.

Yes, it is the GSS here in Singapore and while this shopaholic is dying to get some action done, work has not be letting up. Instead, I have been indulging in therapeutic beading though I am super behind in some orders and worse still, messed some up. *runs and hangs head in shame*

Gracia $21

Gracia is a beautifully hued bracelet. Featuring nicely plated rhodium charm of an eternity knot (I think I remember the name correctly) and matched with Czech glass beads of bright aqua and green, she sits on the wrist with so much energy coming from within.

A certain calmness that belies a vibrant spirit.

I was reminded of J and M as I did this piece. M just celebrated her birthday and was treated to a lovely song item by her boyfriend, J. I think it was a lovely gesture, act of love and something that the two will remember for a while yet.

This piece is made of silver toned kissing couple charm imported from USA, silver plated music symbols, cat's eye, Swarovski crystals and pearls all hanging from a silver toned chain. Closed with a lobster clasp.

Pamela is a long flirty piece. It has a duo purpose, to adorn either your neck or your wrist. Let it sit in a loop around your neck or wind it round your wrist three times accented by the silver toned tassle.

Made of faux purplish pearls and complementary freshwater pearls inbetween. Closed with a silver toggle clasp.

Karin's polymer clay pieces just exude so much life... This piece uses her lovely beads paired with Swarovski crystals and gold plated hoops. Simple, sunshine-y feel... Just right to dress you up and brighten your day.

A customised bracelet centred around the "xi" charm. Made with gold plated hoops and links, freshwater pearls and Czech glass, this bracelet is sure to dazzle.

Papier Rosetta $10

... is exactly as the name is. This pair of earrings is made of paper roses twirled around Czech glass leaves and fixed to gold plated hoops.

These roses always have a special place in my heart. I kind of swarmed our wedding invites and church bulletins with these. At that time, we bought tons of the roses... now, there are a precious few left.

Please note : as the roses are made of paper, they are not as hardy. Take special effort to keep them away from excessive moisture. I used them in spite of their "weaknesses" because the colour graduation and life-likeness is still difficult to beat in more hardy materials.

Gold plated hoops are given life with Czech glass flowers and beads... and charmed with a kissing couple charm imported from USA.

Gold plated hoops and butterfly charms are teamed with wonderful duo toned Czech glass beads and Swarovski black crystals.

Mismatched but feel free to enquire for a matching pair... I could not decide whether I preferred the pair with the crystal or not.
