Titania

Titania, queen of the fairies, is a piece of floral fantasy. Cloth flowers are stringed on a 14k gold plated chain and enhanced with gold Swarovski pearls that feature as the flower centres.

A dainty piece that suits both the beach and a garden party.

Closes with a lobster clasp and ended with a accent of Swarovski pearl. Bracelet is approximately 6" long excluding clasp. Flowers are about 1.5" in diameter.

I never realised how difficult cloth flowers are to find in sunny Singapore. Sure, we are the garden city but you cannot just pluck fresh flowers and hope they last as jewelry. Anyhow, I think the way the new range is taking shape, the hunt was well worth it.

I'm pretty happy with how Titania turned out. All bright, cheery and summery.

Mary Anne

Mary Anne is a dainty one... She draws you in with her patterned glass bead that hangs off the fine 14K gold plated chain. Lightly enhanced with a light blue Czech glass bead, at the clasp, she is all you need to dress up your top.

She closes with a lobster clasp. All findings used are gold plated.

Hi everyone… Yup, I am still alive. Though a certain internet provider is making me see red. And no, its not just because of their corporate colours. Basically, I still do not have internet access in spite of having signed a new plan since the 7th.

But enough about that. Better to incorporate the redness into new items right? So here’s my “anger management piece”. After finishing it, the mood swung to all christmas-sy as you can see why.

Remember some time ago last year when I had this Copycat Saga right here on Bead Haven? Well, there is a new one for Sparkle Thots (also by me, or rather my new site). Still in any case, new items galore at Sparkle Thots. Go take a look!

There are lots of creative people out there in the world but sometimes it takes the odd black sheep or two to spoil your mood. I have had my work (a necklace) passed off as someone else’s work but this really takes the cake. Replicating the whole storefront of Sparkle Thots is not cool.

I was tracking my hits yesterday when I discovered some strange activity. Following the lead, I discovered this site. Reeled in shock for a good few minutes before recovering to grab screenshots of the webpage. Thankfully because the site has since been taken down though a bit of sleuthing would tell you that the rest of the still online pages are a dud and rip-off of some other site(s).

The site in question is probably being done by some not-too-good web designer who is ripping off other sites as his sample work. Or well, I don’t know. Whatever it is, this is not NICE. Nor ethical. It freaks out to see my whole storefront appearing on some other site with dead links all around.

Now please, piracy is so not cool. Regular reporting on great finds resumes tomorrow. I have no mood to write cheery entries at the moment.

This series features clean lines for great silhouettes. Nothing to distract but the beauty of the materials used. Accentuate. Not overdose. Honey Drops centres on three well cut, faceted glass briolettes interpersed with faceted gold plated beads as its focal piece. Well, this is the BIG thing that I was alluding to in my recent (ok, not so recent) posts. I have gone out to get myself a domain... started out a shop and a proper blog! While many things remain the same, there are changes to go along with it.

Do note that there will be free shipping for all orders over SGD150. Orders below that will be charged at SGD4 flat fee. This will include registered post, bubble lined envelopes, little sachets and the occasional something special.

Something Old...
One of the trademark, key features of Bead Haven is the use of varied materials in a single item to create a feminine look that is at times modern or classic. This range still remains the same. Also to keep it affordable, the findings used are still gold or silver toned.

Something New...
The range, "Something Precious" has been launched to present an opportunity to own semi-precious gemstones set with gold or silver plated findings and materials. Slightly more expensive, this range will last much longer should you afford the proper care for the items. This range tends towards the softer side... and is perfect for bridal days and special occasions.

Something Blue...
The whole site is done up in a sweet blue look. Some of you might recall, the original logo for Bead Haven was a simple font set in blue. I am returning to that classic look yet again. :)

Porcelain Charm $24

A new release... Porcelain Charm is a dainty oriental pair that features imported porcelain beads topped with gold coloured freshwater pearls and filigree. All findings are gold plated... :) With good care, this pair should last quite a bit.

Just a quick sneak as to what is in store… Plastic hearts and alphabets strung on gold plated memory wire and finished with gold plated beads… and a twirl for girly delight.

By the end of the month, we will be ready to launch.

I guess I can start revealing little snippets of information out now...

Sorry for the apparent radio silence over here at Bead Haven. The truth is, I am slowly working on a new site. After 14months at Blogspot, including the many outages and other inconveniences, I have actually gone out to get a domain of my own :)

At the moment, I am working on a new collection to be released there... alongside other specials. I sure hope that they will be as appealing to you as they are to me! The same idea of modern beauty with the feminine touch will continue to be featured in the pieces. Some new highlights would include the launch of a new gemstone range, made with findings that are all silver or gold plated, making your jewelry items even more special.
